Admin Guide: Transfer Ownership of Orphaned Draft Works

Sometimes a draft work may become orphaned if the user who created it leaves RUB. As an administrator, you can transfer ownership of these orphaned draft works to the Publications Manager.

Before transferring an orphaned dataset, please make sure that your actions comply with the ReSeeD's terms of use.

Steps to Transfer Ownership

1. Login to ReSeeD with the Administrator credentials.
2. Navigate to the Dashboard.
3. Go to "Works (datasets)" and select the "All Works (datasets)" tab.
4. Search or brose for the work you want to transfer.
5. Use the black "select" menu on the right of the row for the work, and select "Transfer Ownership of work (dataset)"
6. Use the user search box to search for the Publications Manager.
7. Add a comment if desired, such as "User has left RUB - transferring ownership of this draft work to Publications Manager"
8. Click the "Transfer" button.
9. Login to ReSeeD with the Publications Manager credentials.
10. Go to your Notifications (bell icon at the top right of the screen).
11. Find the notification about the transferred work and click on "Review all transfer requests".
12. Under "Transfer Received" click "Accept", and then "Remove depositors access"
